Non Destructive Testing

April 2010

Non-destructive testing (NDT) is an analysis technique used to determine the condition of equipment without the use of invasive approaches like disassembly or failure testing. Because NDT does not require the sacrifice of the part or equipment of interest, it is a highly valuable technique that saves both money and time in equipment evaluation and troubleshooting. Common NDT methods include acoustic testing, liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing and radiography.

Mainstream Engineering has significant experience in the selection and application of the following NDT techniques to develop efficient equipment inspection procedures.  We can perform or manage the inspection works to provide a thorough assessment and condition report.

  • Visual Weld Inspection
  • Ultrasonic Testing
  • Magnetic Testing
  • Penetrant Testing
  • Radiography
  • Thermography
  • Remote Videoscope Inspection
  • Fabrication and Manufacturing Inspection
