CHH Woodproducts New Chipper Building

January 1970

With the closure of the Rainbow Mountain Sawmill the Kawerau mill acquired a second chipper and associated screen and conveyor systems. Mainstream Engineering was engaged to develop the civil drawings from concept through to council building consent.

The job entailed detailed discussion with site Mechanical Supervisor Tony Priebe to determine the customer requirements, adaptation of existing building drawings, site measurements, concept designs, interaction with our civil/structural partner to detail civil design requirements, development of drawings for design verification and finally issuing drawings to council for building consent approval and construction manufacture.

The job highlighted how effective partnering arrangements can be to deliver a “total” service to our clients.
